Welcome to Big Lake Elementary
Thank you for your patience as we migrate content from our old website!
As educators, we strive to provide a well-rounded education for our students, every minute of instructional time is valuable. When students are picked up early, they miss out on important lessons, discussions, and activities that contribute to their overall learning experience. By minimizing early pick-ups, you are helping to create an optimal learning environment for your child and peers. Thank you for understanding and we appreciate your effort in providing the best possible education for your child.
Please try to call with any end of day transportation changes prior to 2:00
The electronic Boundary Exempt form for the FY24/25 school is now available in ParentVue. If your child does not attend the school in the boundary where you live, you need to complete this Boundary Exempt form every year. https://www.matsuk12.us/registration
LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE!
All Library books are due!!! You may check your child's account by going to the online library catalog (in Clever), clicking on account, and entering your child's student ID # for both user and password. Check on "check-outs" and you can see what they have missing. All students are being given a list of missing books. Remember, I cannot take care of books from other schools. You will have to contact that school to work something out. You can return books here or pay for them here if that helps.
Chromebooks: All students are encouraged to take their chromebooks home for the summer. (5th Grade is required to unless leaving the district, going to charter school, or homeschool.) SCAN the QR code on top of the Chromebook to be linked to the district IT page explaining how you can use the parent GoGuardian app to manage websites for your child, care guide, and handbook. You have the power to block any sites you do not wish them to use.

Immunizations Due Over the Summer
Summer is a great time to check with your medical provider to ensure your student is up to date on immunizations prior to the next school year.
Some 5th grade students will need a Tdap booster over the summer break before entering middle school.
Religious exemptions for next school year (2024-25) are due by the 1st day of school, Thursday, August 15. These need to be updated yearly so please have your providers update those and return them.
Last, but not least, have a SAFE SUMMER!
